Description
Podophyllum difforme has highly unusual five-pointed star-shaped leaves, deep green in colour and often with a purplish pattern around the centre.
This rarely available semi-evergreen plant thrives in a part-shade position and as such is a striking specimen plant for underplanting amongst large ferns or palms. It has deep red-maroon flowers appear during late June-July hanging under the foliage. Podophyllum difforme will reach a height and spread of around 40-50cm.
Plant in fertile moisture retentive soil and give some protection from frosts using a layer of mulch.
