Aeonium ‘Velour’

Description

Aeonium ‘Velour’ is a beautiful upright evergreen succulent forming a bushy habit.  Branching stems are topped with rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves which are green in the centre, outer leaves are wonderful shades of   purple-red.  The rosettes form an almost goblet shape – highly ornamental.  Conical panicles of yellow flowers may be produced in late spring or summer however this succulent is grown largely for the fabulous foliage and structure.  As with all succulents be careful not to over-water – Aeonium ‘Velour’ will not tolerate sitting in water.  Place in a sheltered sunny or bright position outside or in a greenhouse/conservatory, in free draining soil.
