Heavenly Bamboo. A super new variety of Nandina ‘ Obsessed’ has delicate compact semi evergreen fiery red foliage turning orange through to rich green as the leaves age. In autumn the colours become even stronger holding most of the foliage through the winter months. With pretty white flowers in midsummer followed by glossy red berries after a hot summer. For best results plant in full sun to semi shade. Eventual spread 0.5 – 1 metre, height 0.6 metres after 5 years. Suitable for most soils but avoid water logged or very shallow soils. Please note that the common name is ‘Sacred or Heavenly Bamboo’ however Nandina have no relationship to bamboo so can be planted with no fear of them invading the neighbours!
