Diospyros kaki ‘Ragno’ (Japanese persimmon)

Description

Diospyros kaki ‘Ragno’ is a wonderful form of the ‘Japanese Persimmon’.  Ragno, meaning spider, relates to a vague web-like pattern on the underside of the fruit.  The fruits otherwise are bold orange and look stunning.  Ripening in late autumn, the fruits are sweeter than some forms.  Sometimes available in the supermarket but far tastier from your own plant!

Plant in a sheltered position in free draining, fertile soil and in full sun.
