Description
Adiantum venosum, or Himalayan Maidenhair Fern, is a fabulous evergreen dwarf fern with a wonderfully delicate appearance. Despite appearances, it is surprisingly hardy (down to around -10 deg.C), making it a must-have for the fern lover of for shade/semi shade positions in the garden. The triangular foliage is zesty green and arranged in beautiful finger-like fronds, held on dark stems. Adiantum venosum will reach up to 25cm in height and spread. Plant in moisture retentive fertile soil, or in a container. Do trim off any tatty foliage at the end of the season. An excellent addition planted amongst other ferns and shade/semi shade lovers.
