Calopsis paniculata

Description

Calopsis paniculata is a wonderfully tactile and impressive restio with finely branched, arching stems reaching up to 1.5-2m in height.  Native to South Africa it is one of the hardiest restios and will thrive in well drained but moisture retentive and slightly acidic soil.  Grass-like brown flowers appear during the summer months further adding to the spectacle.
