Description
Persicaria ‘Red Dragon’ is an unusual spreading herbaceous plant grown for its fabulous foliage. Leaves are bronze and green in colour with distinctive silvery-white chevrons ‘ painted’ on each leaf. Small white flowers appear in summer and contrast beautifully with the dramatic foilage. Tolerant of a range of soils and will be happy grown in sun or partial shade. It can ultimately reach 60 to 100cm in height.
This is an excellent candidate for underplanting towards the front of a border where the exotic leaves can put on a fabulous show. Plants will die back during the winter and erupt into leaf in the spring.
