Yucca filifera

Description

Yucca filifera is a supremely archiectural, deep-green leaved Yucca with sizel-like fringes to the leaf margins.  In its native Mexico, Yucca filifera can reach heights of over eight meters, forming wonderful multi-branched specimens.  Maybe in time, that will be possible here, but growth generally is fairly slow.  Fortunately for us, Yucca filifera seems equaly happy growing in the UK, given perfect draining and a sunny position where it will tolerate winter temperatures down to minus mid teens.
