Description
Smallanthus maculatus is a huge member of the daisy family reaching over 3m in height during one season! Stems have beautiful burgundy-purple flecks and the leaves are large and wonderfully velvety. During summer through to autumn, small yellow flowers appear. But Smallanthus maculatus is mainly grown for the large, exotic leaves. Will thrive in full to partial shade making it especially useful and has proved to be relatively hardy when given a thick winter mulch.
