Description
Yucca thompsoniana is another fabulous tall-growing, achitectural Yucca, still classified botanically as a form of ‘rostrata’, it is similar in appearance but generally differs by having narrower leaves, often greener in colour. The leaf heads themselves tend to be smaller than Y. rostrata, although this is not 100% reliable. One thing for sure is that Yucca thompsoniana is one exceedingly hardy and adaptable Yucca, able to withstand temperatures down to around minus 20 degrees. To achieve a beautiful strong growing and healthy plant you need to ensure perfect drainage and locate the plant in an open, full-sun position. Given these conditions Yucca thompsoniana is wonderfully architectural and quintessentially provides a desert vibe.
