Dasylirion miquihuanensis

Description

Dasylirion miquihuanensis, although difficult to pronounce, is one of those plants that once seen, will never be forgotten.  Producing huge, sturdy trunks holding a tight rosette of spiky leaves forming a crown of up to 2m across.  The trunk itself can also be 2m or more in height.  Rarely seen in the UK, this plant is a real colectors favourite.  Again, plant in very free draining soil in an open, sunny position.  Like many Dasylirion, we guess that this species is tolerant to temperatures down to around minus 8-10c.
