Hedychium flavescens

Description

Hedychium flavescens is a beautiful variety sometimes known as ‘The yellow Ginger’ with stunning large leaves, much like banana plants.  During mid to late summer, fragrant creamy-yellow exotic flowers appear.  Plant in free draining fertile soil in a sunny to semi shaded position.  Apply a layer of bark mulch during winter once stems have died back, or lift the rhizomes and store in a container in compost.

Plants sent out during winter months will be cut back.
