Musa acuminata ‘Dwarf Cavendish’

Description

Musa acuminata ‘Dwarf Cavendish’ is a very easy to grow banana plant suited to indoor cultivation as a showy houseplant with dramatic jungly appearance and remarkable adaptability to growing indoors. Able to cope with bright sunny rooms through to dappled shade and temperatures between 12-30 degrees centrigrade Musa acuminata ‘Dwarf Cavendish’ definately on my list of favourites. I’ve found that given plenty of water and regular liquid feeds during the summer months they can grow rapidly reaching over a metre high, 3 metres is possible but not common! Conversely if you back off on feeding and water less they just slow down whilst remaining healthly adapting to the change in circumstances meaning it is possiple to manage thier size quiet easily.

A fun plant, good talking point and recommended for beginners in houseplant cultivation. We can’t promise you a feast of bananas but you will have a very long lived jungly plant sharing your home.
