Alocasia ‘Mayan Mask’ is a stunning variety with the most incredible, exotic leaves.  Foliage is deep green with wonderful pale green veins and subtle, swirling veins in the background.  The underside of the leaves is another matter, turn them over and you will be delighted to see the deep purple-burgundy undersides -outrageous!  Although said to be relatively hardy, we would recommennd container growing in fertile soil and placing in a warm, bright position out of direct sunlight.  During the cooler months, we suggest keeping the plant frost free.  May be grown as a house plant and staged in exotic borders in the warmer months.
