Canna patens

Description

Canna patens is a lovely species Canna, proving extremely hardy tolerating our cool wet winters with ease. Produces masses of dainty orange/yellow tinged flowers early in the season, the Banana like leaves are deep green broad, only growing around 80cm tall. Plant in a sunny spot, in fertile moisture retentive soil, moulching well with a layer of compost in autumn to protect the rhizomes.

One of our favourites and easy to grow, free flowering Canna.
