Aralia cordata ‘Sun King’

Description

Aralia cordata ‘Sun King’ is a large leafy jungly plant from Japan with striking lime green to golden pinnate leaves. Grows well in dappled shade where it enjoys fertile soils making an ideal large specimen plant amonst ferns, hostas and other shade loving plants. Can reach up to 1.5 x 1.5 metres or more in just one season. We treat it like a large herbaceous plant cutting the stems back to 15cm above ground each autumn once the leaves have dropped. Hardy and easy to grow.
