Eucomis comosa ‘Sparkling Burgundy’

Eucomis comosa ‘Sparkling Burgundy’ is a wonderfully exotic looking bulbous perennial forming a rosette of deep red-purple strappy leaves from which a pineapple-like flower spike emerges during summer. The flower spike is covered in pretty cream-purple-tinged star-shaped flowers wich are long lasting.  Plant in a sheltered, sunny border or in containers. Provide winter protection and only plant out once the risk of frosts has passed. Lift bulbs in the autumn and keep dry until the following spring.
