Description
Ophiopogon japonicus is a beautiful evergreen low growing form of Ophiopogon with narrow, deep green strappy leaves forming a beautiful dense clump. During the summer months occasional spikes of white flowers may appear which are followed by deep blue fleshy fruits. This is an excellent ground cover plant and a good candidate for Japanese planting schemes or for filling in those under storey gaps at the front of a border or under ornamental trees. Plant in free draining fertile soil in sun or patial shade for best results.
