Chamaedorea radicalis

Description

Chamaedorea radicalis is a member of the family of palms commonly known as ‘Parlour Palms’ a name probably adapted from their use as hardy adaptable house plants first introduced by the Victorians. The species we have here though is altogether more exciting and valuble to us lovers of hardy exotic plants, Chamaedorea radicalis can actually be grown outdoors in milder U.K gardens where it can be hardy to at least minus 7 degrees. So a beautiful feather palm reachung 1.5- 2 metres high over time and perfect for a sheltered shady position in the garden, a palm planted amongst ferns perhaps. Another possibility is growing in a container, enjoying outside during the summer months to be brought inside for the colder months or simply grow year round as a beautiful house/ shady conservatory plant.

The only snag it that Chamaedorea radicalis is rarely available, the plants we are offering are semi mature flowering size plants.
